Playing blackjack basic strategy can greatly increase the player’s long term winnings and decrease the house advantage!

Basic strategy simply prescribes the statistically optimal bet choices to make while playing blackjack.  Probably hard to learn off by heart, but fortunately you don't have to because basic strategy charts, like the one below are readily available to use a a guide during play.

S = stand

D = double down

H = hit

T = split

H/R = surrender if able to. If it is not permitted, hit.

H/P = split if able to double after a split. If it is not permitted, hit.
